Adopt-A-Ship Program 1. Work with a Port Chaplain to identify and select a ship and crew that will be willing to participate in the program. 2. Arrange with a Port Chaplain to make the beginning contact with the ship/crew. 3. Mutually agree with the ship/crew on the best way to continue contact and communication (possibly sharing email, addresses, phone numbers, etc.) 4. Pray on a regular basis for the ship, crew, and specific crew mwmbers as you become connected with them. May also contact crew family members after a relationship is established. 5. It may be possible to visit the ship accasionally when the ship is in port. This can only be done with the Chaplain's approval and clearance. 6. Provide special cards, gifts, etc. when possible.
